Malaga, 46.000 homes sold in one year
Malaga breaks the barrier of 46,000 homes sold in a year, 80% second-hand
The province of Malaga has registered this year - with a few days to go until it ends and with the notaries still open - "almost 46,000 real estate transactions for the sale of homes, nine thousand of them, new construction and the rest, a total of 36,423 , second-hand" explains in SER Málaga, José Antonio Pérez, professor at the Real Estate Business School
"A historic year, which far exceeds all post-pandemic expectations and which balances the market in a province that stands out in Spain for its independence from mortgage financing. One in two houses are bought in Malaga for cash, compared to the proportion one in four from the rest of the country" details
"The buyer in Malaga has its own characteristics. They are retirees - a good part of them foreigners - who invest their savings in a residence, in many cases of second use. The volume of digital nomad buyers is also important. In fact, Malaga is, together with Alicante, the two Spanish provinces with the most real estate acquisitions by foreigners"
